Note: Important Grammatical Point
In the above sentences we have listened to sentences indicating present vs. future tense. Present tense verb takes an auxiliary verb whereas future tense verb does not take any auxiliary verb. The above sentence-pairs show difference. They show only third person forms. In present as well as in future tense the verb forms change according to the Subject noun. For example, if the Subject noun is first-person singular the verb the will take first person singular form. The paradigm for both verb forms (singular) are given hereunder:
Present
Future
First Person
હું રમું છું.

Second Person

તું રમશે?/રમીશ?

હું આવીશ.
The paradigm for all three persons and two numbers for both tenses are given hereunder:-

The difference between the present and the future is that in present tense the verb takes an auxiliary verb whereas in future it doesn’t. In present tense the main as well as auxiliary verb agrees with the Subject Noun. Let’s do some practice.
